VPS monitoring setup

I have added my VPS IP and installed the UptimeMonitor in the terminal. But I get an error saying i need to open port 5991. The issue is I don’t have any firewall in my VPS from Vultr
After I run the Ubuntu 20.x command to install Uptime Monster on my Digital Ocean (Ubuntu 20.04.6 LTS) server I get this message “Please allow incoming connection on port 5991, then restart firewall daemon.”.
Please advise how to resolve this step by step if possible.
I tested this adjustment on more than 10 cloud servers and the monitoring works on none of them, very strange, has anyone managed to make it work with Ubuntu 22.04?
How do I open and edit the file? The guide is very vague for a newbie.
